: Directory Search Tips

To make your search more successful, try these ideas:

Use 1-3 keywords - Avoid using too many keywords. Don't type long phrases, questions, URL's, or undescriptive words such as "and, the, in, or, of, about". Don't use quotation marks or the + symbol

Our search engine performs an "AND" search. Every word you add to the search line narrows your topic. So, adding more keywords to an unsuccessful search doesn't help. Instead, try your search again with fewer, more general keywords on your topic.

Singular/Plural - Try the plural form of your keyword. For example, instead of "tiger", try "tigers". Or, try a more general keyword like "mammals".

related - Each resource the search engine finds has a "related" link. Click on this link to reach the ProTeacher directory page on which similar resources might be found.

Browse - Browsing our directory listings is the best way to find many things. Browsing often leads you to discover a general resource that includes the more specific topic you're seeking. For tips on browsing our directory click here!

Archive - Try your search in our growing Community Archive

Alternate Search - Or, continue your search in another search engine with just one click! (see the "See also:" line)
